NRG Pre-Shift Stretching Case Settled

The long-standing NRG Pre-Shift Stretching case has been settled.

While employees will still be required to attend the daily stretching program and "make an effort", you will not be required to perform any exercise you "believe" you cannot perform safely.

This is an important distinction. No one should be quizzed over why they believe they cannot perform any or all of the exercises safely. It is a personal decision.

Most importantly, this program will not be used as a fitness for duty exam.

NRG Stewards and Chief Stewards have been provided the pertinent language of the agreement. Should you experience any problems over the pre-shift stretching program contact a Steward or Chief Steward or call the office.
